12 noon to 2 pm

No Secret Anymore: The Times of Del Martin & Phyllis Lyon (60 min.) Lesbian pioneers Del and Phyllis are seen creating coalitions that took on the prevailing belief that lesbians were illegal, immoral and sick. The couple did the groundbreaking work on lesbian mothers, sex education, family violence, and more. Always working both from within and outside the institutions they sought to change, Del and Phyllis were able to advance the rights of women and people. Today these unapologetic and unstoppable activists are educating both the LGBT and aging movements on the needs of old lesbians.

Hands on the Pulse (60 min.) This vital and engaging documentary covers the life and work of Joan Nestle, one of the queer community's most fearless activists. Nestle's grassroots career spans nearly half a century, and Hand on the Pulse takes us from the butch-femme bars of Greenwich Village in the '50s to civil rights marches in the '60s, from the early days of women's rights to the heated feminist "sex wars." Ever the rebel, even within the radical movements she was part of, Nestle has ardently challenged barriers against women's sexuality. As the cofounder of the Lesbian Herstory Archives— which were housed in her living room for over 20 years she has devoted her life to documenting the lesbian history she helped forge.

2:30 to 4:10 pm

That Man: Peter Berlin (80 min.) Peter Berlin was the gay poster boy for the hedonistic and sexu-

ally liberated 1970s. He was his own work of art, a carefully constructed,. unattainable icon awash in eroticism. This film is an entertaining and revelatory look

at the man behind the famous image.

Out in the Heartland (20

min.) explores That Man: Peter Berlin the human im-

pact of a campaign to ban gay marriage in Kentucky. Through the stories of gay parents in the state, the film examines how our nation's political, social and religious environment has been altered by recent anti-gay constitutional amendments. While these families live their daily lives in neighborhoods, churches and schools, the amendment ascends from the mega-churches to the ballot box.

As this momentum grows, these parents begin to fear for their safety and the futures of their families. By giving a face to those at the center of this issue, Out in the Heartland illuminates the long-term consequences anti-gay amendments have for us all.

4:30 to 6:10 pm

Rock Bottom: Gay Men and Meth (60 min.) follows the journeys of seven gay men struggling with meth addiction and recovery against a backdrop of an emerging second wave of HIV infection. From grappling with the drug's effects on their physical and mental health to wrestling

with their darkest sexual desires, Rock Bottom delivers a chilling portrait of a community in crisis. With an unflinching eye the film captures their stories over a two-year period, from sex clubs to hospitals to family gatherings. It takes enormous courage to face these demons, and even more to allow the world to watch.

Bob & Jack's 52-Year Adventure (40 min.) is the true, self-told story about the kind of lifelong love we all hope for and the equal rights two men who are still in love will now need to survive.

7:00 to 8:30 pm

Long-Term Relationship (90 min.) Glenn has finally found his soul mate, a cute Southern boy named Adam. Their relationship started, as so many great relationships have, with the personal ads ("GWM seeks LTR"). From the moment they met, it was instant attraction. Now Glenn's in love for the first

Pride Guide 2007

time, and it feels great. There's only one problem. Well, actually a few problems. But are they big enough to be deal-breakers, or can Glenn and Adam work through their differences?

9:00 to 10:30 pm

Puccini for Beginners (90 min.) New York writer and opera addict Allegra (Elizabeth Reaser) loves her girlfriend Samantha (Julianne Nicholson), but can't commit. When Samantha leaves her, Allegra rebounds with handsome philosophy professor Phillip (Justin Kirk) as well as the irresistibly beautiful, recently single and recently straight Grace (Gretchen Mol). Allegra juggles secret relationships with both of them, never suspecting that Philip and Grace have a connection of their own. With a sophisticated blend of humor and irony,
